Job summary

Walker & Sloan are recruiting a Senior Design Manager to lead the design strategy on a flagship data centre project in Acton, West London. You will coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, ensure governance, and align design with programme objectives.

The role requires extensive experience delivering complex schemes for major contractors, with strong leadership, risk management, and a drive for buildability and value engineering.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading design delivery on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of design governance, technical compliance and programme management.
• Ability to mentor multidisciplinary teams and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design management strategy across the project to coordinate design activities and align with programme objectives.
• Oversee multidisciplinary design teams, manage technical risk and drive value engineering initiatives.
• Support procurement and construction activities, ensuring governance and quality standards are met.
