Job summary

Bovis is recruiting a Design Manager for a major public sector project near the coast in West Sussex. You will start at the Euston office during pre-construction and move on site when the project goes live, coordinating with the senior design team and stakeholders.

The role requires delivering design management across pre-bid to handover, strong leadership of consultants, knowledge of CDM and RIBA Work Stages, and a commitment to safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or similar.
• CSCS card and relevant construction qualifications.
• Experience delivering design management from pre-construction to handover.
• Ability to liaise with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations and Building Safety Act.
• Familiarity with BIM and digital delivery tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design management on projects using experience and judgement.
• Coordinate with senior project team and stakeholders.
• Represent the business with clients and supply chain partners.
• Manage consultant design through pre-construction and delivery.
• Lead design reviews and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Bid for new work and establish external relationships.
