Job summary

Ridgeway & Co Recruitment seeks an experienced Design Manager to lead the design process for main contractor projects in Harlow, Essex. You will coordinate architectures, structural and M&E design teams, ensuring fully integrated designs are issued on programme.

Qualifications

• Proven experience coordinating design across architecture, structure and M&E.
• Strong construction project background with coordinating external consultants.
• Knowledge of building regulations and technical approvals.
• Ability to maintain programme and quality while resolving design issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage design process from pre-construction to project completion.
• Coordinate architects, structural engineers, M&E consultants and designers.
• Develop and manage design programmes, submissions and approvals.
• Identify and resolve design issues throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure design information is coordinated, approved and issued on programme.
• Work with site management, commercial teams and stakeholders to ensure delivery.
• Review design info for compliance with regs and project specs.
• Monitor design progress and risks to meet deadlines.
