Job summary

Unite People are recruiting a Senior Design Manager to lead the design delivery of a major industrial development in Essex. You will oversee the design process, coordinating consultants and specialist subcontractors to ensure design information meets the project's technical, commercial and programme requirements.

The role requires a proven track record in design management within construction, with experience on large-scale industrial or logistics schemes and the ability to lead

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Design Manager or Senior Design Manager within construction.
• Experience delivering industrial, warehouse, logistics or similar large-scale developments.
• Strong technical understanding of multidisciplinary design and construction methods.
• Ability to lead consultants, challenge proposals constructively and manage competing deadlines.
• Good commercial awareness and understanding of design risk.
• Relevant construction, engineering or architectural qualification, or equivalent experience.
