Job summary

Unite People is seeking a Design Manager in Surrey to oversee design coordination on a major construction project. You will work with the project delivery team, consultants and subcontractors to ensure information is coordinated, buildable and issued in line with the construction programme.

You will lead design meetings, review designs for buildability and compliance, and manage design programmes, submissions, RFIs and approvals, coordinating specialist subcontractor designs with the wider

Unite People are recruiting a Design Manager to oversee design coordination on a major construction project in Surrey.

Working closely with the project delivery team, consultants and subcontractors, you will manage the design process to ensure information is coordinated, buildable and issued in line with the construction programme.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Design Manager within construction.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary design coordination.
• Experience working closely with site teams, external consultants and specialist subcontractors.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines and drive timely design decisions.
• Relevant construction, engineering or architectural qualification, or equivalent experience.
