Job summary

Russell Taylor Group Ltd. is seeking a Senior Design Manager in Manchester within a leading Tier 1 main contractor. The role leads design phases from pre-construction to site delivery, chairs meetings and liaises directly with clients.

You will oversee a design team on high-value schemes (£50m-£100m) and contribute to a busy project portfolio across commercial and residential sectors, with flexible hybrid working after settling in.

Qualifications

• Contracting experience of at least 5 years.
• Using MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.
• Management of multiple projects or projects of a complex/high value.

Responsibilities

• Run design phases from pre-construction through onsite delivery.
• Chair design meetings and manage the design team.
• Direct client liaison and stakeholder management.

Join a Tier 1 main contractor with an excellent pipeline of works in the Manchester region.

My client is a leading Tier 1 main building contractor with an excellent reputation in the marketplace. Due to an increase in recent contracts they currently require a Senior Design Manager's to join their team. They have won a number of DfE projects so would be interested in candidates with Education delivery experience. Although they cover a wide range within commercial and residential projects too. Schemes range from £50million to £100million.

They require an experienced Senior Design Manager to run design phases both starting in pre-construction through to onsite delivery.

The Senior Design Manager they are looking for must be experienced in delivering projects for a main building contractor. You will be in charge of managing the design team chairing meeting and dealing a lot direct with the client.

To consider you will have proven experience of the following:

• Contracting experience of at least 5 years.
• Various forms of construction technology.
• Using Microsoft suite of Office programmes; inc. Excel, Word, Outlook and Project.
• Management of multiple projects or Projects of a complex nature or high value
