Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Watford is seeking a Principal Design Engineer to provide technical leadership across temporary works solutions and integrate designs into project delivery.

The successful candidate will hold a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, with Chartered status (CEng) or working towards it, and demonstrated experience in temporary works design using AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Tedds and STAAD Pro. Salary up to £75,000 plus package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• CEng status or working towards chartership preferred.
• Experience in structural engineering and temporary works design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of temporary and permanent works packages.
• Develop, review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and design deliverables.
• Provide technical leadership on temporary works including support systems, excavations, formwork, falsework, lifting operations and working platforms.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet programme, safety and operation requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
