Shaw healthcare are recruiting a Deputy Manager for Wylesfield Care Home in Llandrindod Wells to deliver a quality of care and support to our service users in line with our care principles of 'wellness, happiness, and kindness'. Wylesfield is a 27 bedded residential care home for older people including dementia.

The role requires leadership of care and nursing teams and ensuring CIW/CQC standards are met. The position is based on a 37.5 hour week at £18.17 per hour, with development

Qualifications

• QCF Level 3 or above.
• Previous Deputy Manager experience.
• Experience of supporting the elderly.
• Strong knowledge of person-centred care.
• Ability to assess residents and deliver care plans.
• Effective communication with residents and families is essential.

Responsibilities

• Know CIW/CQC standards and the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
• Develop and implement care packages and activity programmes.
• Lead and supervise the care and nursing teams to deliver high standards of care.
• Coach and mentor staff; communicate effectively with the team.
• Engage with residents, families and colleagues with empathy and respect.
• Understand disabilities and mobility needs; use appropriate aids and equipment.
• Provide hygienic care and ensure personal hygiene needs are met.
• Maintain health and safety across the service.
