Job summary

Odin Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Nursery Manager for a setting near Cullompton, Devon. The role leads day-to-day operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while guiding a motivated team.

The successful candidate will manage staffing, ensure high standards of care and education, and drive occupancy and growth in collaboration with senior leadership. Requires Level 3 EY qualification and recent nursery management experience.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.
• Recent management experience within a nursery or early years setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop the nursery team
• Maintain consistently high standards of childcare and education
• Ensure the setting remains fully compliant with the EYFS, Ofsted and safeguarding requirements
• Support staff through effective supervision, coaching and performance management
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and the wider community
• Manage staffing levels, rotas, occupancy and nursery budgets
• Drive enquiries, registrations and occupancy
• Oversee safer recruitment, induction and ongoing staff development
• Create an inclusive environment in which children and colleagues can thrive
• Work closely with senior leadership to support the nursery’s continued growth

Nursery Manager

Location: Cullompton, Devon (EX15)

Salary: Up to £53,000 per annum, depending on experience

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Nursery Manager—or an accomplished Deputy Manager ready to take the next step?

We are recruiting for an exceptional Nursery Manager to lead a beautiful early years setting near Cullompton. This is an excellent opportunity for an inspirational and commercially capable leader who can maintain outstanding standards of care while developing a happy, motivated and successful team.

You will take overall responsibility for the nursery’s day-to-day operation, ensuring children receive a safe, nurturing and stimulating early years experience.
