Job summary

UBDS Group is seeking a Senior Delivery Manager to lead large-scale technology projects, align with client business objectives, and drive outcomes across cloud, data intelligence, and enterprise software initiatives.

You will manage project teams, mentor delivery managers, collaborate with stakeholders, and establish governance and best practices to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery in a flexible hybrid environment with offices in London and Manchester.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project delivery, managing large-scale technology projects.
• Proven success delivering complex projects on time and within budget, esp. cloud infra, data intelligence or enterprise software.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to influence and drive change; persistence in achieving goals.
• Proficient in project management tools and software.
• Certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
• Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements, establishing clear success criteria.
• Develop and track project plans, milestones, and deliverables, adjusting as necessary to meet changing needs.
• Establish and enforce project management best practices, methodologies, and governance to enhance efficiency.
• Foster relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing insights to support their strategic goals.
• Mentor and guide project managers and team members, fostering professional growth and development.
• Identify and manage project risks and issues, devising effective mitigation strategies.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
