Job summary

Babcock International Group in Helensburgh is seeking a Project Manager to own a portfolio of high-value infrastructure projects within a defence environment. You will guide them from business case through handover, ensuring delivery aligns with stringent security and safety standards.

The role requires leadership of multidisciplinary teams, strong contract knowledge, and the ability to manage budgets and stakeholder relationships. Hybrid working is offered with ~3–4 days on site.

Qualifications

• Managing construction or engineering infrastructure projects in a complex environment.
• Using standard contract forms such as NEC4 or JCT.
• Leading design teams across lifecycle stages (RIBA Plan of Work).
• Working with project management tools and methodologies (Primavera, MS Project).
• Controlling budgets and delivering against financial targets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver infrastructure projects in line with lifecycle standards, from concept to completion.
• Coordinate briefs, technical designs and tender processes.
• Manage multidisciplinary design teams, contractors and stakeholders.
• Oversee contractor performance to meet time, cost and quality targets.
• Lead governance, risk management and handover processes.
