Job summary

Babcock is recruiting a Programme Manager to lead a flagship defence technology programme from mobilisation to delivery. Ashton House, near Bristol, offers hybrid working with two days onsite and three from home.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage MoD and commercial contracts valued at £75m+, and shape ways of working while developing capability across the business, contributing to national security.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and delivering large-scale complex engineering or technology programmes valued at £75m+.
• Strong project and programme management, including bid mobilisation, delivery, and service integration activities.
• Experience identifying, managing, and mitigating programme risks within complex delivery environments.
• Proven commercial awareness and experience operating within large, high-value programmes.
• Experience building, leading, and developing high-performing teams while engaging confidently with senior stakeholders and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams to mobilise and deliver complex programmes and growth initiatives.
• Manage the delivery of large, technically complex engineering and technology contracts for Ministry of Defence and commercial customers.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maintain confidence, engagement, and programme success.
• Drive programme performance, risk management, financial objectives, and delivery commitments.
• Develop and growing high-performing teams that support both successful programme delivery and future business growth.
