Job summary

Anson McCade in London is seeking an experienced Senior Application Support Engineer to join a specialist Defence project. You will be responsible for keeping a complex application environment running and improving its reliability and performance.

You’ll join a small technical team with exposure across infrastructure, application support, troubleshooting and technical improvements, while maintaining a secure production environment and direct client engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting complex applications in a production environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot across Linux-based infrastructure and networks.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Investigating and resolving technical issues across the application and supporting infrastructure.
• Providing hands-on support across Linux and infrastructure technologies
• Troubleshooting networking, connectivity and system-related problems
• Supporting deployments, upgrades, changes and technical improvements
• Monitoring system performance and identifying potential issues before they impact service
• Working with development teams and third parties when issues require deeper investigation
• Helping maintain a reliable and secure production environment
• Providing technical guidance to other engineers
• Working directly with clients and stakeholders to understand and resolve issues
