Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Carbon Consultant to join our UK advisory team. You will lead delivery of decarbonisation studies, carbon footprinting, lifecycle assessment, and data-driven advisory work across global projects.

The role requires 7+ years in carbon consultancy, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to guide teams and junior staff. We offer a hybrid working policy, extensive employee benefits, and opportunities across Transport, Water, Built Environment and Energy

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of delivering carbon footprinting / lifecycle assessment and carbon management projects, across infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate at all levels.
• Collaborative to maximise stakeholder engagement and influence project teams.
• Strong knowledge of carbon methodologies and data sources (ISO14064, PAS2060, PAS2080).
• Awareness of low-carbon initiatives in energy, transport, construction and built environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of carbon footprinting, LCA and carbon management projects.
• Ensure projects meet quality, time and budget requirements.
• Develop and analyse data, ensuring traceability and robust calculations.
• Prepare reports and present final results to clients.
• Support bid submissions and opportunity development within multiple sectors.
