Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Carbon Consultant in the UK to lead decarbonisation advisory work across major infrastructure projects. The role involves delivering carbon footprinting, lifecycle assessment, and carbon management with a focus on quality, time, and budget.

The candidate will work with the Advisory and Programme Delivery (APD) unit, contribute to strategic client guidance on net zero, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a hybrid working

Qualifications

• 7+ years of delivering carbon footprinting, LCA, and carbon management in infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and client engagement.
• Knowledge of ISO14064, PAS2060, PAS2080 and carbon methodologies.
• Experience in net zero, carbon in construction, and environmental impact assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of carbon footprinting, LCA, and carbon management projects.
• Assess project performance against standards and industry best practices.
• Develop data analysis for carbon assessment with traceable calculations.
• Prepare reports and present results to clients.
• Support bid submissions and opportunity development with account teams.
