A leading energy infrastructure company in the UK is seeking a DCO Senior Project Manager. The role involves leading DCO applications for key infrastructure projects and requires excellent communication and management skills. The Eastern Green Link 5 (EGL 5) project will connect Scotland and England bringing enough clean power for 2 million homes. Construction is scheduled for 2030 with your primary focus ahead of this, to log a successful DCO application in 2027.

As a Development Consent Order (DCO) Senior Project Manager, you will lead and coordinate a successful DCO on a major National Grid Strategic Infrastructure project with a right first-time approach. You will work within the project senior leadership team to lead a cross-functional team which will include project managers, external partners and wider team of land, external affairs, legal and consenting experts to ensure the delivery of DCO to agreed schedule, budget and quality expectations. You will drive understanding of the process into the project team ensuring lessons learned from each stage are reviewed and shared across Strategic Infrastructure. This is a great opportunity to work on the Great Grid Upgrade, and as part of this National Grid will be one of the biggest promoters of DCOs in England and Wales at this time.
Home will be your main base for activities with weekly meetings in person or via Teams depending on your schedule and location. We have offices at major locations including Leeds, Birmingham, our Warwick HQ and London. We continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.

As a Senior Project Manager, your duties will be broad and include:
A competitive starting salary between £75,000 - £85,000 dependent on capability. Depending on home location, all travel costs for meetings will be taken by National Grid.
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 30% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
