Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a qualified and accredited DBT Therapist to join the Harrogate and Ripon Community Mental Health Team. Band 7 for accredited applicants; band 6 training role considered for those with RMN or equivalent qualification. Training may require placement outside Harrogate.

On accreditation, increment to Band 7 is expected. The role covers delivery of a full DBT programme, high risk management, MDT collaboration, leadership and governance

Qualifications

• Experience delivering psychological therapy to people with severe mental health problems.
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience delivering supervision and staff training in harm/suicide prevention.
• Demonstrable interest and training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
• Willingness to engage in further study towards accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of a comprehensive DBT programme: pre-treatment, engagement, individual DBT therapy, and inter-session coaching.
• High Risk Management & Assessment: crisis intervention and safeguarding.
• Consultation, peer support & MDT collaboration: weekly DBT consult team and specialist advice.
• Leadership, Training and Governance: supervision and governance activities.
