Job summary

Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Specialist Practitioner and Group Facilitator to deliver DBT- or MBT‑informed groups. You will support service users to manage emotional intensity, build resilience, and achieve recovery goals, working with NHS teams, voluntary partners, and service users to promote wellbeing.

In this role you will provide clinical leadership, mentor colleagues, and contribute to service development.

Qualifications

• Diploma level/Degree in a relevant health/social care profession (eg RMN, OT, Social Worker).
• Current registration with NMC or HCPC and commitment to CPD.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate DBT- or MBT-informed groups and adapt content to service user needs.
• Lead and participate in psychoeducation and peer-support activities.
• Assess referrals, determine suitability, and plan reviews with service users.
• Support discharge planning back to GP care after programme completion.
• Contribute to safeguarding, risk management, and crisis planning.
