• Supporting the architecture, design, and implementation of Snowflake in a fast-paced development environment.
• Building, and managing a Snowflake ecosystem to support streaming and batch workflows, and enabling end user teams to access data, build reports, and leverage automation tooling.
• Ensuring steps in these processes are automated and observable and adhere to platform standards.
• Engaging with users about SQL best practices for Snowflake; recommending and new data structures, and physical data layouts, to improve throughput and performance.
• Supporting database user and permissions management (IAM, AD).

Skills we would love you to have

• Strong experience with Snowflake engineering (SQL scripting DDL and DML, task orchestration, integration management)
• Strong experience with Snowflake administration (RBAC, warehouse provision, cost management, time-travel, disaster recovery)
• Experience working in an Agile environment, utilising methodologies such as Scrum/Kanban/BDD/TDD.
• Enthusiasm for maintaining and providing a best-in-class data platform to the business.
• Snowflake certifications
