Experience and Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in NoSQL and RDBMS databases like Cassandra, MongoDB, Couchbase, and DB2 UDB.
• Proficient in database administration and process management.
• Experience handling mission-critical production applications in a 24x7 environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience working in offshore and onshore models.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as OpsCenter, OpsManager, Talena, iCinga, Splunk, Grafana, ELK/ELF, CTAM Prometheus, Cohesity, Nimsoft, GCP.
• Knowledge of Banking domain is a plus.
• Experience in Linux OS, Shell scripting, and Ansible.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Configure Cassandra clusters (single and multi-datacenter).
2. Optimize parameter configurations for application performance.
3. Manage node addition/removal in clusters.
4. Handle large data volumes (>100TB) and numerous nodes (~200 per cluster).
5. Implement Cassandra backup and recovery strategies.
6. Support OS patching and database upgrades.
7. Create and manage keyspaces and tables.
8. Utilize Cassandra utilities like nodetool, CQL utility, SSTable utilities.
9. Support post-upgrade activities like repair migrations.
10. Perform maintenance activities: repair, compaction, backups, restore.
11. Manage user access on clusters.

MongoDB Administration:

• Deploy and configure MongoDB environments.
• Utilize monitoring tools like Nimsoft and OpsManager.
• Configure MongoDB replication for high availability.
• Manage replica sets and DR architecture.
• Handle user management and RBAC for security.
• Troubleshoot issues and perform RCA.
• Support backups and restores with OpsManager.

Couchbase Administration:

• Install and configure Couchbase in various environments.
• Monitor using Couchbase Web console, iCinga, Nimsoft.
• Implement XDCR for high availability.
• Manage multiple clusters and data replication.
• Handle user management, bucket configuration, failover, rebalance, REST API interactions.

DB2 UDB Administration:

• Manage production databases (~5TB).
• Follow process-driven environment practices (Problem & Change Management).
• Implement database security measures.
• Utilize performance utilities: REORG, REORGCHK, RUNSTATS, etc.
• Troubleshoot using db2diag, b2pd, db2top.
• Optimize database performance and handle space issues.
