Job summary

Morgan Stanley is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Director/AVP level) to join the Change the Bank team in our Glasgow office. You will be a seasoned analytics professional driving data-driven transformation across Operations, Technology, Finance and Risk.

You will define business cases, manage cross-functional programs, document data flows and deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders in a fast-paced banking environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex data, business analysis or transformation initiatives within a large organization.
• Ability to review, manipulate and investigate large, complex and unstructured datasets.
• Strong analytical, investigative and root cause problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with ownership and accountability in ambiguous environments.
• Effective stakeholder management across dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the business case, scope, objectives and delivery approach for proposed data and transformation initiatives, supported by clear documentation.
• Structure and manage complex projects and workstreams with detailed plans and active scope/risk management.
• Investigate large, unstructured datasets to identify trends, data quality issues, and improvement opportunities.
• Document data flows, lineage, transformations, ownership, and governance across the operating model.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop practical remediation recommendations.
• Plan and perform User Acceptance Testing, ensuring evidence and documentation remain current.
• Translate data findings into clear business insights and executive-level recommendations.
