Morgan Stanley is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (Director/AVP equivalent) to join the Glasgow office. You will be part of the Change the Bank team, bringing structure to ambiguity and working with global teams on data and transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex data, business analysis or transformation initiatives within a large organization.
• Ability to review and investigate large datasets and form evidence-based conclusions.
• Understanding of data front to back, including lineage, transformations and ownership.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Define the business case, scope, objectives and delivery approach for data and transformation initiatives.
• Structure and manage complex projects with detailed plans and milestones.
• Investigate large datasets to identify trends, data quality issues and risks.
• Collaborate across Operations, Technology, Finance, Risk and Business teams on data requirements.
• Document data flows, lineage, transformations and ownership across the operating model.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop practical remediation recommendations.
• Assess data fitness for purpose and governance effectiveness.
• Translate data findings into clear business insights and executive recommendations.
• Partner with Change the Bank, Technology and other stakeholders to deliver projects.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops on data definitions and resolution of issues.
• Identify opportunities to re-engineer processes and improve data quality and usability.
• Develop KPIs, data quality measures, dashboards and reporting for progress and benefits.
• Plan and perform User Acceptance Testing with data validation.
• Attend Agile meetings and contribute to sprint planning and reviews.
• Review changes to processes and data ensuring governance and approval.
• Provide clear communication on progress and escalate blockers and risks.
