Job summary
Motion Applied – Connected Intelligence is seeking a Senior Data Solutions Engineer to design, develop and optimise the CI Data Platform, delivering scalable data solutions across cloud and edge environments. You will work in a cross-functional team with engineers across software, platform, SRE and testing, applying Python and modern data tooling to build streaming pipelines and analytics apps.
Hybrid role based in Woking with two days in the office.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a numerate discipline (Maths, Physics, CS, Statistics, Engineering).
- Experience solving engineering or real world problems using data solutions.
- Demonstrable interest in data analytics and software.
- Proficiency in Python and common data science packages.
- Experience with data engineering tools (e.g. Spark, AWS Glue, Kinesis, Snowflake, Airflow).
Responsibilities
- Design and improve the CI Data Platform offering and integrate it with operational products.
- Leverage open-source software to extend capabilities for customers.
- Champion architectural and technical best practices across analytics and software teams.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional environment from initiation through the product lifecycle.
