Motion Applied – Connected Intelligence (CI) is seeking a Senior Data Solutions Engineer to shape our data platform and drive scalable cloud/edge analytics. You will work across architecture, data pipelines, streaming and analytics, collaborating with Software, Platform, Test, and SRE teams to deliver mission-critical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a numerate discipline (Maths, Physics, CS, Statistics, Engineering).
• Experience solving engineering or real-world problems using data solutions.
• Interest in data analytics and software.
• Proficiency in Python and common data science packages.
• Experience with data engineering tools (Spark, AWS Glue, Kinesis, Snowflake, Airflow).
• Experience building data pipelines and data streaming apps.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and data provenance.
• Willingness to learn new languages.
• Good understanding of Agile/Lean practices.
• Fluent written/spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve the Motion Applied Data Platform and integrate it with operational products.
• Leverage open-source software to extend capabilities and tailor to customer needs.
• Champion architectural and technical best practices across analytics and software teams.
• Collaborate in cross-functional teams with Software, Platform, Test, and SRE engineers.
• Contribute across full product lifecycle from concept to delivery.
• Work on data streaming, aggregation, asset management, monitoring, reporting, and visualization.
