Job summary

Scrambly, a fast-growing adtech startup in the UK, seeks a Senior Data Scientist to own end-to-end models for valuing users and guiding monetisation decisions. You will forecast user value, set pricing controls, and collaborate with engineers to deploy reliable data-driven solutions that support revenue growth and fraud protection.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building production models that influence business decisions.
• Hands-on experience with LTV or ROAS prediction and related challenges (immature cohorts, long horizons, sparse segments).
• Background in adtech or mobile performance marketing including attribution and MMP data.
• Strong Python and SQL, with production experience on a cloud data warehouse (BigQuery preferred).
• Rigorous evaluation and the ability to justify model choices to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience shipping models into production and maintaining them after launch.

Responsibilities

• Value prediction: forecast user and cohort value from early behavior.
• Bidding and pricing: determine spend to acquire users while staying within margins.
• Segmentation and targeting: create scoring to treat users and inventory by value.
• Fraud and abuse: improve fraud models and minimize false positives.
• Evaluation: set metrics, ensure out-of-sample validity, track model health.
• Collaboration: work with Head of Data, engineers, and commercial teams to translate model outputs into decisions.
