Job summary

Randstad Technologies Recruitment in London is seeking a hands-on Senior Data Scientist to own the day-to-day analytics engine and production ML models for an international platform across the UK and Canada.

This 6-month contract offers a London-hybrid model with a rate of £400–£450 Inside IR35. You will retrain models, monitor health, and manage regulatory data pulls while collaborating with cross-functional teams across Product, Marketing, Engineering, Compliance and Support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on data science & analytics experience.
• Experience with B2C/FinTech/Consumer tech/e-commerce domains.
• Strong SQL and Python (or R) to maintain codebases and pipelines.
• Production ML experience: retraining, monitoring and debugging models.
• Autonomy to own daily BAU operations and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of FCA reporting or time-sensitive regulatory pulls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, retrain, and troubleshoot existing live ML models (credit, recommendation, ranking).
• Monitor model health and drift; ensure stability without rebuilding architectures.
• Investigate anomalies in UK/CA revenue and triage partner feeds and campaigns.
• Oversee live tests, analyze performance, and drive rollout decisions for marketing/product.
• Triage pipeline breaks and data gaps to maintain data integrity across the international ecosystem.
• Handle time-sensitive data extraction requests (FCA returns, DSARs, RTBF pulls) often under tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Compliance, and Support teams.

A fast-growing, high-impact international organisation is seeking a hands‑on Senior Data Scientist to take ownership of the day‑to‑day analytics engine and machine learning models for an established international platform across the UK and Canadian markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, retrain, and troubleshoot existing live ML models (credit, recommendation, and ranking logic).
• Monitor model health and drift, ensuring operational stability without needing to rebuild underlying architectures.
• Monitor the UK/CA revenue baseline, investigate sudden anomalies, and triage operational gaps across partner feeds, email campaigns, and retargeting systems.
• Oversee live tests, analyze performance reads, and make confident promotion and rollout decisions for marketing and product initiatives.
• Rapidly triage pipeline breaks, tracking gaps, and partner feed issues to maintain data integrity across the International ecosystem.
• Handle time‑sensitive data extraction requests‑including FCA regulatory returns, DSARs (Data Subject Access Requests), Right to Be Forgotten (RTBF) pulls, and complaint data‑frequently under same‑day or next‑morning deadlines.
• Serve as the central data owner partnering directly with Product, Marketing, Engineering, Business Development, Compliance, and Member Support teams.

Essential Requirements

• 5+ Years Experience: Hands‑on Data Science & Analytics within B2C, FinTech, Consumer Tech, or E‑Commerce.
• Core Stack: Advanced SQL & Python (or R) to maintain existing codebases and pipelines.
• Production ML: Proven expertise in retraining, monitoring, and debugging live ML models.
• BAU Operator: High autonomy to own daily operations and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Cloud & BI Stack: Practical exposure to GCP (BigQuery), Airflow, or Looker.
• AI Tooling: Familiarity with Claude Code, OpenAI, Cursor, or agentic workflows to accelerate delivery.
• Compliance & Domain: Prior experience with FCA reporting, DSARs, or time‑sensitive regulatory data pulls.
