Job summary

Dojo is hiring a Senior Economist to uncover causal effects behind pricing, product launches, and other strategic moves. You will lead rigorous econometric analyses, design experiments, and ensure research integrity while guiding decision makers with clear, quantitative narratives.

You will work with Python/SQL to build scalable metrics, collaborate with product and leadership, and help set standards for AI-assisted analyses and verification frameworks.

Qualifications

• Deep econometrics: IV, RDD, DiD, panel/fixed-effects, time-series concepts.
• Strong statistical theory and reasoning from first principles.
• Quantitative background in economics/econometrics (credentials not required).
• Fluent programming for data sourcing and shaping data in code.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex workstreams with business leaders to shape data-driven domain strategy affecting revenue, costs and churn.
• Define experimental and quasi-experimental designs, advising on synthetic controls and staggered rollouts.
• Build advanced econometric models for behavioral questions using first-principles reasoning when standard methods don’t fit.
• Write efficient SQL and Python to create scalable metric trees and dashboards.
• Translate statistical uncertainty and causal findings into clear narratives for leadership.
