Hippo is a fast-growing digital consultancy delivering transformative digital solutions for public and private clients. We seek a Senior Data Science Engineer to lead data science initiatives, mentor staff, and deliver secure, scalable data-driven services.

You will work across data, design, product, and engineering to solve complex problems with real business impact. You will lead production of user-centred data science solutions, drive collaboration with stakeholders, and grow in a senior role

Qualifications

• Extensive Python experience and proficiency with SQL/R/Java.
• Experience deploying and monitoring ML models in production (MLOps).
• Strong track record delivering scalable data science solutions.
• Expertise in data manipulation, ML, and statistics.
• Experience applying NLP to information retrieval and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Lead production of user-centred data science solutions adhering to best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions for complex problems.
• Develop and expand data science capabilities and capability building.
• Manage ML deployment pipelines and resolve bottlenecks.
• Mentor engineers to support professional development.
