Qualifications

• Expertise in Python and at least one other core language.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with Snowflake and dbt.
• Building reliable data pipelines.
• Ability to lead complex projects and manage stakeholders.
• Coaching others to achieve optimal solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication across audiences.
• Proficient in Agile environments and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to define team procedures and ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Act as technical SME to ensure data solutions meet business needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to design and deliver complex solutions.
• Design and manage data development and deployment pipelines.
• Prioritise workloads and adapt to changing priorities.
• Communicate progress clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
• Build strong relationships with team and clients.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding of engineers; support professional development.
• Identify new business opportunities and contribute technical bids.
• Promote Hippo’s data capabilities through blogs, workshops and talks.
