Job summary

Burberry is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Products & Governance in London to lead a product-led data strategy. You will line-manage five Data Product Managers and the Data Governance Manager, shaping roadmaps, prioritising backlogs and driving adoption across enterprise data products.

You will embed governance by design, ensure data quality, privacy, lineage and catalogue management, and partner with Risk & Cyber Security to meet regulatory requirements.

• Strong understanding of modern data and analytics landscape.
• Experience working in a complex, multi-function organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Data Products & Governance capability, line-managing five Data Product Managers and the Data Governance Manager.
• Define and maintain Burberry's data product management operating model and lifecycle.
• Own the coherence of the enterprise data product portfolio with clear users, sponsors and outcomes.
• Coach Data Product Managers to translate needs into requirements and prioritised backlogs.
• Lead portfolio-level demand shaping with Enterprise Data leadership, Data Engineering & Platforms and Delivery.
• Ensure Product Managers partner with Delivery Managers and engineering leads; PMs own the what and why.
• Establish product performance and value management with adoption, data quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Act as senior partner to business leaders, promoting reusable data products and governance by design.
• With the Data Governance Manager, own Burberry's governance framework and policies.
• Embed governance by design across the lifecycle including privacy, security and metadata.
• Provide clear portfolio governance reporting to leadership.
