Job summary

Burberry seeks a Senior Data Architect to lead architecture across complex, cross-domain data initiatives. You will shape domain models, define data contracts, and ensure coherence of data across Product, Customer, Merchandising, Sales, Inventory and Supply Chain.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Data Architect or Senior Data Architect in a complex enterprise environment.
• Strong data modelling across conceptual, logical and physical levels with cross-domain collaboration.
• Deep knowledge of modern data architecture including lakehouse, data warehouse, data products, analytics and governance.
• Experience designing data architectures on cloud data platforms and with Databricks; able to lead across domains and teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data architecture for complex, cross-domain programmes and products.
• Own data architecture for major change initiatives across source systems and data layers.
• Provide senior design authority on data architecture decisions and challenge engineering teams.
• Define domain and cross-domain data models for core Burberry domains such as Product, Customer, Sales and Supply Chain.
• Define authoritative sources, system-of-record boundaries, data contracts and data flows.
• Shape data architecture for reusable data products and analytical capabilities across Burberry's data estate.
• Coach and mentor Data Architects and data engineers; drive consistency across teams.
• Represent data architecture in governance and design forums with senior stakeholders.
