Job summary

Burberry in London is seeking a Senior Data Architect to lead enterprise data architecture across complex programmes, shaping data structures, governance, and information flows. This role collaborates with Data Products & Governance, Data Engineering & Platforms, and stakeholders to ensure coherent data designs.

You will coach Data Architects, define domain models for Product, Customer, Merchandise, Sales and more, and drive data contracts, metadata, and lineage.

Qualifications

• Strong data modelling expertise across conceptual, logical and physical models.
• Experience designing data architectures for analytics, reporting and AI.
• Proven ability to coach data engineers and architects.
• Excellent communication to senior technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience with Retail, Fashion, Luxury or Consumer Goods data is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data architecture for cross-domain programmes.
• Define domain and cross-domain data models for core Burberry domains.
• Define authoritative sources, data contracts, and lineage.
• Shape data architecture for data products, lakehouse, and semantic layers.
• Coach and mentor data engineers and architects.
• Present options in governance forums.
