Senior Data Platform Product Manager

Job summary

Referment, a fintech company, is strengthening its data platform and seeks a senior product professional to turn its data strategy into tangible products. You will own the delivery of foundational data platforms and data products, collaborating with the Product Director, designers and engineers across business units.

This hands-on role focuses on shaping the operating model, productionizing data pipelines, setting data contracts and success metrics, and prioritising a cross-functional roadmap

Qualifications

• Six+ years of hands-on product management experience, with three+ years owning data platforms or data products end to end.
• Background in data engineering, software engineering, analytics engineering or a related discipline.
• Ability to read data models, challenge pipeline designs and use SQL to test assumptions.
• Experience building a data platform from a low-maturity starting point with tangible delivery.
• Track record of building products around adoption and business outcomes, not just output.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to work with senior data engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Comfort influencing teams you do not directly manage and challenging established approaches.

Responsibilities

• Shape and implement the operating model for data-product delivery for day-to-day planning and execution.
• Bring foundational data pipelines and flagship data products into production with clear consumers and adoption measures.
• Establish product practices covering intake, prioritisation, data contracts, lifecycle management and success metrics.
• Own and prioritise the roadmap across competing stakeholder needs while maintaining existing products against business goals.
• Write clear product requirements and delivery plans with cross-functional colleagues using a lean, problem-first approach.
• Use qualitative and quantitative insight to understand internal users, identify opportunities and measure impact on decisions and outcomes.
• Support rollout through stakeholder communication, training and practical end-user support.
