Job summary

Halfords is seeking a Senior Enterprise Data Management Lead to shape governance across the business and embed practical governance that makes data reliable and safe to use. You will collaborate with data owners and stakeholders to strengthen accountability and enable better decision-making powered by high-quality data.

This role offers broad exposure, ownership of Master Data Management initiatives, and a hybrid working arrangement with 3 days on site at Redditch.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead data governance and management practices across an organisation.
• Strong track record defining data standards and monitoring compliance with pragmatic solutions.
• Influential stakeholder leader with ability to drive change across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of data governance frameworks and standards.
• Define RACI and ownership to ensure data quality, access and change control.
• Build data management practices across the business including data quality, metadata, modelling and standards.
• Deliver Master Data Management (MDM) improvements aligning business and technical teams.
• Identify and manage data risks, coordinating issue resolution with stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement by assessing data maturity and embedding best practices.
• Champion ethical, privacy-aware data use and compliant governance.
• Translate complex governance topics into clear, actionable communications.
