Job summary

Nationwide Building Society is seeking a Senior Data Governance Analyst to join the MI team. You will define, monitor and improve data quality across Collections & Recoveries, partnering with stakeholders to resolve issues, maintain artefacts and ensure governance standards are met.

You will work with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform to manage data lineage, business terms and metadata, while contributing to regulatory and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a data quality role, identifying, tracking and resolving data issues.
• Understanding of Data Governance frameworks, policies and best practices.
• Experience producing reports/presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with enterprise data governance and quality tools such as Collibra.
• Knowledge of data storage, data flows and data transformation principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data quality processes to monitor and improve data quality across Collections & Recoveries.
• Produce Data Quality Scorecards with clear commentary on movements and discrepancies.
• Support governance of processes, documentation and control checks with stakeholders.
• Maintain inventory of live processes and ensure reporting is documented and governed.
• Assist in creating and maintaining business terms, metadata and data lineage with Data Steward.
