Immersive is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager - Data Engineering in the UK with hybrid working. You will lead an 8+ person data engineering team, own strategy, and drive modernization of our data platform while partnering with product, analytics and business teams.

Report to the VP Engineering and shape a world-class data foundation for insights. You’ll mentor engineers, set vision, remove blockers, and advocate data excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading data engineering, analytics engineering, or platform teams (3+ years).
• Strong coaching and mentorship style with a focus on delivery and quality.
• Deep understanding of modern data architectures, integration, orchestration, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a talented team of 8+ data engineers with coaching and clear goals.
• Define and execute data engineering strategy aligned with product and business priorities.
• Modernize data infrastructure including cloud warehouse, orchestration, and tooling.
• Set team performance metrics and ensure on-time delivery with high quality.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and commercial teams to drive data value.
• Promote scalable, secure data solutions and adopt best practices across the team.
• Represent data engineering to senior leadership, communicating near- and long-term value.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performing culture where diverse perspectives are valued.
