Job summary

Nucleus Financial is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own the design and delivery of complex platform components. You will determine how new sources are onboarded, implement controls for regulatory and financial reporting, and set engineering standards for the team.

This hands-on role may include line management and requires collaboration with finance, risk and business leads. You will shape Agile processes, oversee version-controlled pipelines, and drive continuous improvement across the data

Qualifications

• Advanced SQL development and troubleshooting across large data volumes.
• End to end ownership of pipelines and platform design.
• Experience delivering data used for regulatory reporting.
• Strong mentoring and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate in an ambiguous environment and shape deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Own platform and pipeline design from source review to production.
• Set engineering standards, naming conventions and load patterns.
• Lead conformed warehouse design for consistent group reporting.
• Provide in depth peer review and justify production readiness.
• Lead delivery and prioritise work with the Product Owner.
• Design validation, reconciliation and monitoring controls.
• Lead incident resolution, diagnosis and recovery.
• Govern semantic model governance and version controlled logic.
• Mentor engineers and potentially line manage team members.
• Engage stakeholders to translate requirements into deliverables.
