Job summary

Liverpool FC is seeking an Associate, Lead Data Engineer to join our team in the City centre, focusing on the enterprise data platform and data warehouse services. You will design and support scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, data models, APIs, and AWS-based data solutions.

Responsibilities include technical leadership for offshore teams, maintaining data quality, and aligning solutions with architectural standards to support analytics and decision-making across the club.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior data engineering, data warehousing, and ETL development.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices including version control, testing, documentation, and maintainability.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with offshore, nearshore, or third-party teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, maintain, and enhance the club's enterprise data platform and data warehouse services.
• Provide technical leadership to offshore development teams and ensure alignment with architectural standards.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, APIs, and data platform services.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability through monitoring and incident management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and data teams to support analytics and decision-making.
