Job summary

Liverpool FC is recruiting an Associate, Lead Data Engineer to join the Data Engineering team in the City centre. You will design and maintain the club's enterprise data platform, data warehouse, and APIs, working across AWS services, SQL and Python to deliver scalable data solutions.

You will provide day-to-day leadership to nearshore and offshore teams, drive architecture, governance, and quality improvements, and collaborate with stakeholders across technical and non-technical areas.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior data engineering, data warehousing and ETL development.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, transformation, quality management and cloud data platforms.
• Solid software engineering practices: version control, testing, documentation and maintainability.
• Experience in Agile environments and collaborating with offshore/nearshore teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain enterprise data pipelines, ETL processes, APIs and data platform services.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to offshore delivery teams.
• Ensure data quality, governance, lineage, monitoring and performance.
• Architect and evolve the data warehouse and data models to support analytics.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and APIs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure security, reliability and scalability.
