Job summary

National Highways is expanding its Digital Services Data Team and seeks a Lead Data Engineer to shape enterprise data strategy. You will design and deliver data products and pipelines, ensuring reliability and governance while collaborating across the organisation to meet reporting and analytics needs.

The role is hybrid with two days per week in the office, supported by Databricks, Power BI and ThoughtSpot tooling to enable enterprise-scale data delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience building and deploying data pipelines and data integration solutions within a collaborative delivery environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the Data as a Service (DaaS) roadmap by onboarding enterprise data and expanding analytical capabilities.
• Design, build and enhance data pipelines, integrations and reusable data assets across data domains.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to understand analytical needs and deliver trusted data products.
• Embed data governance, quality and assurance throughout the data lifecycle and manage metadata.
• Support operation and continuous improvement of production data pipelines and platform capabilities.
• Promote data engineering best practices and reuse across the organisation.
