Job summary

National Highways is strengthening its Digital Services function by recruiting Lead Data Engineers to build in-house data capability. You will work within the Data Team to deliver data products and reliable data services that support operational and strategic decision-making.

You will onboard enterprise data, design data pipelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to enable trusted analytics across the organisation, using tools such as Databricks, Power BI, and ThoughtSpot, while enforcing

Qualifications

Experience building and deploying data pipelines in a collaborative delivery environment.
Experience analysing source systems and complex datasets for analytics and reporting.
Proficiency with scripting CLI, Python and SQL in enterprise cloud data platforms.
Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and delivery ownership.
Experience monitoring, diagnosing incidents and improving production data pipelines and data products.

Responsibilities

Deliver the DaaS roadmap by onboarding enterprise data and expanding analytical capabilities.
Design, build and enhance data pipelines, integrations and reusable data assets.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate needs into data products for decision‑making.
Embed governance, quality and metadata management across the data lifecycle.
Support operation and continuous improvement of pipelines and platform capabilities.
Promote data engineering best practices and reuse across the organisation.
