Job summary

National Highways is expanding its Data Team to deliver data products that enable safer and more reliable journeys across the transport network. The Lead Data Engineer will design and implement data pipelines, govern data assets, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into trusted analytics solutions.

The role is hybrid, with two days per week in the office, and involves working with Databricks, Azure cloud services, Power BI and ThoughtSpot to enable enterprise data

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Experience with scripting CLI, Python and SQL.
• Ability to work with enterprise data platforms and cloud ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the DaaS roadmap by onboarding enterprise data and expanding analytics capabilities.
• Design, build and enhance data pipelines and reusable data assets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver trusted data products for operational and strategic decisions.
• Embed data governance and metadata management across the data lifecycle.
• Support production data pipelines, improve reliability and cost efficiency.
