PHMG is expanding its Data Engineering team to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and a modern data platform. You will work with SQL, Python and cloud technologies to deliver reliable data solutions across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience designing and supporting production data pipelines using modern ETL/ELT practices.
• Experience with modern cloud data platforms and orchestration technologies.
• Experience with Git-based source control, CI/CD, testing, monitoring and error handling.
• Experience taking ownership of complex technical solutions and contributing to architecture and design decisions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience mentoring other engineers and working in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable, reliable and maintainable data pipelines and datasets.
• Play a key role in developing and improving our Microsoft Fabric data platform.
• Take ownership of complex data engineering solutions from design through to production.
• Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions across data warehouse, lakehouse and data integration solutions.
• Champion strong engineering practices across source control, CI/CD, testing, documentation, monitoring and error handling.
• Work with other Data Engineers to improve data architecture, platform performance and engineering processes, providing technical guidance and mentoring where required.
• Work closely with the business to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
