WSP in the UK & Ireland is seeking a senior data engineer to lead hands-on delivery of data platforms and pipelines across major infrastructure and transport projects. You will shape technical standards, mentor colleagues and collaborate with architects, PMs and stakeholders to unlock value from data.

The role focuses on modernising data solutions using Azure, SQL Server and Python, with hybrid working arrangements and opportunities to influence digital delivery across the business.

Qualificações

• Strong technical leadership with excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience in data engineering with database ownership or administration.
• Experience designing and implementing ETL/ELT solutions and data integration architectures.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop junior colleagues.
• Excellent stakeholder management and delivery discipline.

Responsabilidades

• Lead day-to-day technical delivery of data engineering projects from concept to delivery with senior oversight.
• Translate business challenges into practical, scalable data solutions.
• Ensure quality, security and performance of engineering deliverables.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders, communicating technical concepts clearly.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to technical standards and best practices.
