Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.com is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join the Insights & Enablement team within Retail Media Tech. You will shape data platforms powering advertiser insights, optimisation, and growth on the JET platform.

You will design scalable pipelines, implement Gold Layer data marts, and collaborate with data scientists, engineers and product teams to deliver reliable, production-grade data products at scale.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience building data engineering solutions, including distributed systems and large-scale data processing.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with cloud data warehouses.
• Hands-on with dbt Core and Airflow at scale.
• Experience across BigQuery, Dataflow, S3/Iceberg and multi-cloud.
• Familiarity with BI tooling and AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and event streaming architectures for batch and real-time workloads.
• Develop and maintain Gold Layer data marts in BigQuery using dbt Core.
• Build Airflow-based ELT workflows and oversee data quality and governance.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to productionise models and AI tooling.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
