Job summary

Beauty Pie is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to design and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions across our Shopify-enabled ecommerce platform.

You will collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, build a mature data platform in AWS with Snowflake, DBT, Airflow and Looker, and mentor teammates while embracing AI-assisted development. Hybrid in London, 3 days in office.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related role.
• Subject matter expertise in at least one area of the data stack with broad knowledge across the rest.
• Passionate about helping stakeholders solve business problems.
• Excellent SQL and data transformation knowledge.
• Experience with dbt or similar data modelling frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for analytics and self-serve needs.
• Develop ELT processes to integrate data into the data warehouse.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability through testing and validation.
• Collaborate with analysts to understand data requirements and deliver insights.
• Optimise SQL queries and database performance for large data volumes.
• Create and maintain documentation on data architecture, processes, and workflows.
• Build observability into pipelines and models with monitoring, logging, and data quality checks.
• Champion continuous improvement and automate repetitive tasks to accelerate delivery.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging data engineering practices.
• Work with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business goals.
• Mentor junior team members and raise technical standards.
