Job summary

Just Eat Takeaway.Com is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join the Insights & Enablement team within Retail Media Tech. You will build scalable data pipelines, contribute to gold-layer data marts, and collaborate across data science, product, and ML teams to deliver reliable, production-grade data products at scale.

You will work with event streaming, AI tooling, and cross-functional partners to shape platform-level decisions and mentor engineers while upholding DataOps best

Qualifications

• Senior-level data engineering experience with distributed systems and large-scale pipelines.
• Strong Python and SQL skills across cloud data warehouses (BigQuery preferred).
• Hands-on experience with dbt Core and Airflow at scale.
• Production exposure to multi-cloud environments (GCP and AWS) and modern data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable data pipelines and event streaming architectures across batch and real-time workloads.
• Maintain Airflow-based ELT workflows for the retail media data platform.
• Contribute to data governance, data quality, and schema design across the data estate.
• Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to productionise models and tooling.
