Job summary

WSP is hiring an experienced Senior to Associate Mechanical Engineer in Birmingham, focusing on the Data Centre sector within the Mission Critical Facilities team. You will develop designs for mechanical distribution from CHW to LTHW and lead the design of data centre systems.

You will coordinate with architects and structural engineers, prepare technical specifications, and monitor installation to ensure compliance with safety standards and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in designing mechanical systems for data centres.
• Chartered status (or working towards Chartered status) with CIBSE or IMechE or equivalent experience.
• Technical MEP knowledge of UK and EU regulations and design guides.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of data centre mechanical systems and equipment.
• Produce detailed design documents and technical specifications for mechanical systems.
• Provide reports with system options and design development notes.
