Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom is seeking a Data Centre Design Manager to oversee the complete design process from early design through to construction and as-built documentation. The role requires coordinating between clients, design teams, and vendors, ensuring BIM models are clash-free and compliant with project procedures.

You will lead design reviews, manage submittals, and support construction with robust QA, temporary works, and permit processes. Occasional travel to Norway is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional accreditation (e.g., CEng, PE, PMP) preferred.
• Experience in design management for large-scale data centre or mission critical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full design package and ensure compliance with client procedures.
• Coordinate packaging of works between Pads, Utilities, Foundations, Core & Shell, and Fit Out.
• Lead design meetings to ensure scope clarity and no delivery gaps.
• Manage BIM team to develop a clash-free model by Final IFC stage.
• Review Draft and Final IFC documentation and constructability checks.
• Support construction with required design deliverables and permit processes.
