Job summary

DMG Media seeks a Data Architect to define and govern data architecture across a hybrid estate—AWS, GCP, hosted data centres, and on‑premises systems. The role sits in Architecture and Integration, reporting to the Enterprise Architect, leading data flow mapping, standards, governance, and design assurance across projects.

You will shape lakehouse and real‑time/batch pipelines for AI/ML, engage early in the lifecycle, and represent standards at the Technical Design Authority, collaborating with

Qualifications

• Data architecture across multi-environment estates: cloud, hosted data centre and on‑premises.
• Hands-on multi-cloud experience with AWS and/or GCP data services.
• Experience in architecture governance forums (TDA/ARB).
• Designing AI/ML data infrastructure and lakehouse patterns.

Responsibilities

• Map, optimise and govern data flows across cloud, hosted and on‑prem environments.
• Define data architecture standards, patterns and governance principles.
• Engage in projects early to ensure architecture design is documented and reviewed.
• Design data platform architectures for hybrid environments and cross‑environment patterns.
